Derigan Silver is an assistant professor in the Department of Media, Film and Journalism Studies and an adjunct faculty member in the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. He has published in peer review journals and law reviews on government secrecy and national security law, originalism, defamation, social architecture theory, access to the judiciary (including access to terrorism trials), commercial speech, and student expression. He is the author of National Security in the Courts: The Need for Secrecy v. the Requirements of Transparency (2010), an examination of cases involving national security and government transparency.
