Instructional Designer Jeff Schwartz (he, him) talks with librarians Jenny Bowers (she, her), Bridget Farrell (she, her), and Peggy Keeran (she, her), about how the library can help faculty get ready for Autumn Quarter and beyond. They discuss a range of topics, from grants that are available for faculty, the library’s most useful resources, helping students navigate information literacy, and why you can check out a PS4 at the library.
About the Experts:
Jenny Bowers is the Social Sciences Reference Librarian and a Professor of Research and Instruction. In her role as a liaison librarian, she works with the Graduate School of Social Work, the Graduate School of Psychology, the Anthropology, Communication Studies, Media Film and Journalism Studies, Psychology, and Sociology and Criminology departments, and the Gender and Women’s Studies program.
Bridget Farrell is the Coordinator of Library Instruction & Reference Services and an Associate Professor Reference & Instruction. In her role as a liaison librarian, she works with the Morgridge College of Education and the University Writing Program.
Peggy Keeran is the Arts & Humanities Reference Librarian and a Professor of Research and Instruction. In her role as a liaison librarian, she works with the Art & Art History, Asian Studies, Emergent Digital Practices, English and Literary Arts, History, Judaic Studies, Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and the Spanish Language, Literary & Cultural Studies departments.
