Dr. Christina H. Paguyo (she/her), Dr. Chris GauthierDickey (he/him), and Dr. Scott Leutenegger (he/him) play with the following question: How can faculty re-shape curriculum so students embody both a sense of belonging and a successful portfolio of technical skills? Together we explore what North Star faculty use to guide their curricular design (Pitts, 2020), what data faculty use to inform program assessment, and how faculty are re-designing the undergraduate curriculum toward the re-humanization of computer science.  

About the Experts:  In addition to serving as faculty members in the computer science department at the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Chris GauthierDickey is the department chair of computer science who specializes in the areas of programming languages and games. Dr. Scott Leutenegger is the director of JEDI–-Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion––who currently specializes in JEDI and art in computer science education, and previously specialized in spatial databases. Both serve as investigators on a research project funded by the National Science Foundation, in collaboration with scholars Dr. Christina H. Paguyo, Dr. Valentina Iturbe-LaGrave, and Dr. Ron DeLyser.
