The University Writing Program hosts its annual roundtable conversation about faculty research and writing practices. Professors from diverse disciplines at DU present their research projects and writing approaches, and then engage in open discussion with the audience.
Dr. Susan Schulten (History) researches 19th and 20th century U.S. history, and the history of maps. She teaches courses on topics such as the history of American ideas and culture, war and the presidency, and the methods and philosophy of history.
Dr. Donald Bacon (Marketing) researches issues such as customer satisfaction and lifetime value, as well as student learning, through the lenses of psychometric theory and multivariate statistics. His extensive industry experience includes consulting in the area of survey research methods, and working as a financial analyst and product engineer.
Dr. Alejandro Cerón (Anthropology) researches issues such as the anthropology of human rights, health inequalities, and socio-cultural epidemiology. He focuses on Guatemala, Central America, and Latin American immigrants in the U.S.
