Critically acclaimed tenor Matthew Plenk has appeared at the world’s top opera houses, including The Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Opera, and Opera Theatre of St. Louis. For this intimate faculty recital, he’ll be joined by Lamont colleagues, including violist Basil Vendryes, to present the world premiere arrangement of Gerald Finzi’s song cycle A Young Man’s Exhortation for voice and string quartet. Pianist Beth Nielsen and guest artists will join Plenk and Vendryes for Ralph Vaughan Williams’s liturgical song cycle Four Hymns.
