The program features Jake Runestad's Vincent's Sky for wind symphony and choir, a work that explores Vincent van Gogh’s emotional world through the lens of three of his paintings, guided by Walt Whitman’s words: Olive Trees, Wheatfield with Crows, and The Starry Night. Also on the program are works inspired by the art of Käthe Kollwitz, Georges Seurat, René Magritte, and Paul Klee. Video presentations accompanying the performances will bring these visual works into the concert experience. ─────────────────────────────────────── At the Lamont School of Music & Theatre, exceptional artistry meets unmatched opportunity.
