An Evening With Helen Thorpe

Hosted at the University of Denver, An Evening with Helen Thorpe invited the campus and community to discuss with the author her book The Newcomers. Thorpe's award winning book was the One Book, One DU selection for 2019. Thorpe followed the lives of 22 immigrant and refugee teens for a year, and shared their struggles and triumphs. The Writing Program's Lauren Picard and Heather Martin moderate the discussion and interview the author.
