The University of Denver Department of Media, Film & Journalism Studies presents an award to Chuck Plunkett for Journalism in the Public Interest.
Plunkett, Editorial Page Editor at the Denver Post, offers comments on the state of journalism in 2018. He resigned from his position at the Denver Post the next week, on May 3, 2018, following a controversy with the newspaper's hedge fund owners, who he referred to as “vulture capitalists.”
