In this interview Ginger discusses her non-traditional career path that lead her to the Sturm Family Foundation in Denver and to the deanship of DU's college of education. She reflects on the strong programs in place when she began as dean and her focus on developing community partnerships and programs designed to develop school leaders. Ginger shares how a new facility was designed and built to allow the school to take advantage of technology and promote collaborative learning. She touches on the development of the Fisher Early Learning Center at the University of Denver and the importance of Colleges of Education and a liberal arts education in general. She reflects on the values that guided her during her tenure at DU including keeping children and families at the core of everything, respecting all stakeholders at the college, community engagement and personal authenticity.
