What can COVID-19 teach us about transphobia and trans inclusion?
The coronavirus pandemic is amplifying pre-existing social concerns, including unequal access to high quality health care; financial, housing, and food insecurity for vulnerable members of our society; and social stigmas and isolation. Universities are uniquely positioned to support vulnerable community members during the COVID-19 quarantine and as we transition back to “normal” life. This talk focuses on strategies for supporting one specific vulnerable community: Transgender and nonbinary folks.
