REIMAGINING HIGHER EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP
Professor Rai will open with an overview of past paradigms in management education which
focused on technical aspects and developing business acumen including leadership framed
as position and authority. He will then share insights on the evolving perspective of
management education grounded in solving real-world problems, creating value, and
producing responsible leaders. Using this framework, he will then discuss the role of
leadership impact, idealized influence, and accountability. Finally, he will present examples
of what institutions and individuals can do to make a difference.
