Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) discusses the alleged suicide of Newcomb Mott, an American citizen who was being sent to a Russian prison camp after being sentenced for illegal entry into the Soviet Union. Sen. Dominick says he would support a policy that would protect United States citizens abroad. Dominick also voices his concern about a national slum clearance project proposed by President Lyndon B. Johnson, saying that it will centralize too much power in the newly created Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
