Louiva Stapleton describes her life from her birth in 1913 until August of 1995.  Born in Colbran, Colorado, Louiva illustrates her family background and explains how she and her three sisters ended up moving to Aspen, CO to live with her great aunt, Mary Ella Stallard, in 1921.  Furthermore, Louiva illustrates Aspen, the Stallard House, and her difficult childhood growing up in the Stallard household.  Furthermore, Louiva discusses her marriage to William Stapleton after graduating from highschool in 1932.  Finally, Louiva describes her married life with four children and the changes that have happened in Aspen since her early childhood.
