Mr. Melick was born March 30 1910 in Williams Arizona. He was educated at Williams High School the University of Arizona the University of Wisconsin and the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Melick returned as a chest surgeon in 1981 and prior to that was a professor of surgery at the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona. He also worked as a surgeon in Phoenix and began his medical career as a General Practitioner in Williams. Interviewed by Al Richmond April 19 1984.
