Mr. Wilson was born in December 1914 in Tacoma Washington. He came to Arizona in 1925 and began work for Saginaw and Manistee Co. in June of 1935 on a sawmill construction crew. He went to work at Grand Canyon Camp 38 near Williams Arizona in 1936 and he describes the camp social life and typical work days. Other topics discussed include: the commissary of Camp 28 being a railroad car; family cabins; the ethnic origins of the lumberjacks; log cutter equipment; and loading equipment.
