After graduating went to work in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Brother was working in Egypt when the war started. He later joined the service and was stationed in England. Had nursing friends who served in the War. Later worked in a hospital in Wichita, Kansas until 1945. Talked about nursing life during the war. Later moved to Missouri after the War.   Remembers gas and sugar rationing. Talked about feelings of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR).  Father was able to speak German. Husband used the G.I. Bill for awhile after the War.  Talked about soldiers who struggled with civil life after the War. Talked about the 1930s Great Depression and the effect it had on her family.  Worked as a maid in a home for a year before entering nursing school. Talked about high school class rings. Talked about the cost of getting hair done before the War. Talked about picking up hitchhikers during the War.
