Senator Peter H. Dominick (R-Colo.) delivers a speech at a Republican Party event in Harlingen, Texas on October 14, 1963. Sen. Dominick discusses some of the differences in philosophy between conservatives and liberals, and he urges the guests to vote for the Republican presidential nominee in 1964. Dominick says that a change in the U.S. administration is needed because of failed U.S. foreign policy towards a number of countries including Laos, Indonesia, Cuba, East Germany, Pakistan, India, and Hungary. Following Sen. Dominick's speech, the master of ceremonies reads the results of a straw poll of the attendees indicating who they would choose as the Republican nominee for President in the 1964 election.
