About the Experts: Dr. Christina H. Paguyo is the Director of Academic Assessment at the University of Denver, and conceptualizes her role as an ‘academic DJ’ who choreographs assessment in harmony with the everyday work of students, faculty, and staff. She loves collaborating with colleagues to amplify the amazing work we do at DU, and helping staff and faculty discover the transformative potential of assessment! Amelia Gentile-Mathew is an Instructional Designer in the Office of Teaching and Learning at the University of Denver, and works with academic directors, faculty developers, and subject matter experts to provide support for online, hybrid, and hyflex courses across the university. Well-versed in the best practices for online pedagogy and instructional technology, Amelia sees strong and critical connections between trauma-informed pedagogy and the potential for holistic assessment approaches in the classroom.
