About the Expert: Dr. Laura Sponsler is a faculty member in the higher education department of the Morgridge College of Education and the Resident-Scholar for Teaching and Professional Faculty. Dr. Sponsler specializes in the integration of teaching, scholarship, and service to amplify DU’s vision of being a great private university dedicated to the public good. Her work broadly examines the role of colleges and universities in creating more democratic practices for all constituents and institutionalizing the civic mission of higher education.
