Senator Hugh D. Scott (R-Pa.) interviews Joseph LaSalla, Regional Administrator of the U. S. Federal Energy Office in Philadelphia, Pa., during a segment of his radio program, your Senator's report, on October 20, 1974. Sen. Scott and Mr. LaSalla discuss the continuing energy crisis including topics such as fuel shortages, energy pricing and hoarding, the equity of allocations of gasoline and other fuels, the possibility of gasoline rationing and pending energy legislation. They also discuss solutions to the energy crisis such as the development of alternative energy sources, reducing the United States dependency on oil as an energy source, a return to coal energy via coal conversion or gasification, and oil shale development.
