Charles C. Krulak is an American icon whose experiences include serving as the 31st Commandant of Marine Corps and as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. During his military service, he was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” and two gold stars, the Purple Heart with gold star, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the French Legion d’Hounneur, and many other decorations and medals.
